Síndrome de la banda iliotibial
- Un tensor apretado de la fascia latea y la banda iliotibial.
- Con contracción del TFL, extendiendo y flexionando rodilla y cadera de forma repetitiva, por ejemplo al correr.
- Fricción o tensión en la banda iliotibial.
- Dolor especialmente con la flexión y extensión de la rodilla
- Dolor en la rodilla sobre el cóndilo lateral

- Una vez que el dolor haya comenzado a disminuir, aumentar lentamente el movimiento y la flexibilidad ayudará a la recuperación.
- La prevención incluye trabajar las caderas y los muslos para mejorar el equilibrio con ejercicios de fortalecimiento y aumento de la flexibilidad de los músculos.
- Para los corredores, se debe corregir cualquier otro error relacionado.
- Afortunadamente, el pronóstico a largo plazo es bueno y no debería haber efectos duraderos, siempre que se utilicen las medidas preventivas adecuadas.
