About Mike McGurn
Mike McGurn is a renowned strength and conditioning coach celebrated for his pragmatic and committed approach to athlete development.
He led St Helens to secure the treble of Challenge Cup, Super League, and World Club Champions in the 2000/2001 season, and later helped revolutionize the Ireland Rugby Union team’s training systems after being recruited by Eddie O’Sullivan in 2002.
His experience includes work with world-class athletes and teams, including Irish Rugby, top EPL clubs, world championship-winning boxers including Bernard Dunne, the All Blacks, Manchester United, and university sport.
Mike currently serves as Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach at Queen’s University Belfast, supervising training for rugby football, Gaelic hurling, and rowing teams.
