Facial Cupping for Lymphatic Drainage

Evidence-Informed Techniques for Clinical Practice

Presented by Dr. Constance Bradley L.Ac.5 CE/CPD Hours

Facial cupping is a gentle, targeted approach that can be used to support lymphatic drainage, reduce facial congestion, improve local tissue mobility, and enhance overall facial wellness. When applied with appropriate clinical reasoning and safety awareness, it can be a valuable addition to manual therapy, bodywork, acupuncture, and integrative health practice.

In this evidence-informed two-part webinar series, Dr. Constance Bradley explores the anatomy and physiology of the facial lymphatic system and demonstrates safe, effective facial cupping techniques for clinical use. Participants will learn how to apply facial cupping in a way that supports fluid balance, tissue health, and client comfort while protecting the delicate structures of the face.

The course also addresses clinical indications, contraindications, treatment planning, and practical integration with manual therapy approaches for presentations such as facial edema, sinus congestion, post-procedural swelling, and general facial wellness.

Session Content

Session One: Facial Lymphatics, Safety, and Clinical Reasoning

The first session introduces the anatomy and physiology of the facial lymphatic system, including its role in fluid balance, immune function, and tissue health. Participants will explore key clinical considerations, indications, contraindications, and safety principles for working with the delicate tissues of the face.

Session Two: Facial Cupping Techniques and Treatment Protocols

The second session focuses on practical technique application and treatment planning. Participants will learn how to apply facial cupping to support lymphatic drainage, adapt techniques to individual anatomy and treatment goals, and integrate cupping with manual therapy approaches for therapeutic and aesthetic outcomes.

What You Will Learn

Throughout this webinar series, participants will develop a practical understanding of the facial lymphatic system and the clinical reasoning required to apply facial cupping safely and effectively. The course connects anatomy, physiology, treatment technique, and client presentation so that practitioners can make informed decisions in real-world practice.

Participants will learn how facial cupping may be used to support lymphatic drainage, reduce facial congestion, address selected swelling patterns, and promote tissue health while respecting contraindications, tissue sensitivity, and individual treatment goals.

By the conclusion of the program, attendees should feel more confident integrating facial cupping into appropriate manual therapy, bodywork, acupuncture, and wellness settings.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this webinar series, participants should be able to describe the anatomy and physiology of the facial lymphatic system and explain its role in fluid balance, immune function, and tissue health.

Participants will be able to identify indications, contraindications, and safety considerations for incorporating facial cupping into clinical practice, with particular attention to protecting delicate facial tissues.

Participants will also learn to apply effective facial cupping techniques designed to promote lymphatic drainage and develop treatment protocols that integrate facial cupping with manual therapy approaches for edema, sinus congestion, post-procedural swelling, and facial wellness.

The course further supports practitioners in evaluating patient presentation and modifying facial cupping techniques based on individual anatomy, treatment goals, tissue sensitivity, and clinical findings.
