Der Trizeps-Brachii-Muskel

Der einzige Muskel, der auf der Rückseite des Arms zu finden ist, der Triceps Brachii, ein großer und dicker Muskel, stammt tatsächlich aus drei Köpfen, daher sein Name. Die drei Köpfe sind; der lange Kopf, der mediale Kopf und der laterale Kopf. Einige sagen, dass es wie ein Hufeisen geformt ist. Die lateralen und langen Köpfe bedecken den größten Teil des medialen Kopfes, wie oben gezeigt.

Der Trizeps Brachii dient zur Stabilisierung der Schulter und richtet das Ellbogengelenk auf. Aus einer gebeugten Position kann der lange Kopf den Humerus adduktieren und strecken. Beim Werfen von Gegenständen oder Zudrücken einer Tür kommt der Trizeps zum Einsatz.

Schmerzursachen sind: Verletzungen durch wiederholte Bewegungen, wiederholte Armbewegungen, einschließlich Sportarten wie Tennis und Basketball, und das Heben schwerer Gegenstände mit der Handfläche nach oben.
