Treating the Abdominals - Dr. Jonathan Kuttner

Trigger points in the abdominals are common. These are "vanity" muscles, and are often enthusiastically overworked.

In these cases especially, trigger points invariably become active, causing the muscles to become less efficient, and leading to a vicious cycle of injury and pain.

Trigger points in the abs are not restricted to gym-rats. They are also surprisingly common with those who sit for long periods in their work, such as desk workers or long distance drivers.

Left untreated, these trigger points are often associated with lower back pain.

Stomach pain must always be taken seriously, especially when it persists over a period. Always seek medical advice.
