Learning Objectives
  1. Understand the anatomical structure and innervation of the myofascial complex.
  2. Identify common myofascial pain patterns and principles of treatment.
  3. Classify and differentiate between various myofascial techniques, including joint mobilizations and functional release.
  4. Recognize absolute and relative contraindications for the application of myofascial techniques.
  5. Develop proficiency in functional anatomical palpation techniques for assessing cranio-facial, spinal, pelvic, and limb regions.
  6. Conduct joint and muscle assessments, including active and passive mobility tests and identification of tissue density and trigger points presence.
  7. Apply joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, and functional release techniques effectively and safely across various regions of the body, including the TMJ, cervical spine, dorsal spine, lumbar-sacral region, shoulder complex, elbow joint, wrist and hand, hip region, knee joint, ankle and foot, and diaphragm.
  8. Integrate palpatory anatomy knowledge into the application of myofascial techniques for enhanced therapeutic outcomes.
  9. Enhance clinical reasoning skills for selecting and sequencing appropriate myofascial techniques based on individual patient presentations.
  10. Demonstrate mastery in executing myofascial techniques with precision, confidence, and safety.
