2.  Study the course workbook in your own time, in tandem with the video classes, or as directed. 

3.  Review all of the course material several times to ensure understanding.  You will be examined on all course material.

4.  Complete the course exam. 

5.  On passing the course exam you will receive an email with your certificate which you may download and print.

  1. Define and Understand: Clearly define what Muscle Energy Techniques (MET) are and distinguish them from other manual therapy techniques.
  2. Historical Context: Trace the historical development of MET and recognize its evolution and significance in manual therapy.
  3. Physiological Principles: Explain the underlying physiological and biomechanical principles that govern the effectiveness of MET.
  4. Assessment Proficiency: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine when MET is appropriate and when it should be avoided.
  5. Indications & Contraindications: Identify the primary indications for the use of MET and recognize contraindications and precautions.
  6. Technique Mastery: Demonstrate competence in performing various MET procedures for different muscles and conditions.
  7. Positional Diagnostics: Accurately diagnose positional faults in joints and understand how MET can address these issues.
  8. Adaptation for Specific Populations: Modify MET procedures for special populations, including athletes, elderly patients, and individuals with specific medical conditions.
  9. Post-Technique Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of MET interventions through re-assessment and ensure the stability of the achieved changes.
